Mikey’s of Metamora started from a simple belief:

The spaces where we live should be places we enjoy.

For us, that means more than just furniture. It’s the firewood stacked for fall evenings, the landscape materials that finish a project, the outdoor furnishings that last through Michigan seasons, and the practical services that make life easier for the people we serve.

The business traces its roots back to Mike’s local lawn and landscaping company, which served the Metamora community for many years. Through that work he built relationships, trust, and an understanding of our local community.

While Mike was building that foundation, I was building a career in supply chain and program management—leading complex initiatives, sourcing partners, and managing large operational programs.

When our paths came together, those two worlds eventually did too.
What started as landscaping work gradually expanded into firewood services, clean-out support, landscape supply, and storage solutions for recreational vehicles. As the business grew, we began bringing everything together under one roof at our M-24 property.

Mikey’s of Metamora represents the next evolution of that journey. We’ve expanded into a curated outdoor living showroom featuring premium furniture and accessories designed to perform in Michigan’s climate. Every brand we carry is intentionally selected for durability, design, and manufacturer support.

Our Story
1995
Launch
Mike launches Clean Cut Lawn & Landscaping, serving customers throughout the Metamora area and building a reputation for dependable local service.
1998
Supply Chain & Project Management
Deitra begins her career in supply chain and program management, developing expertise in sourcing, logistics, and operational leadership.
2005-2006
Wedding Bells!

Mike and Deitra meet and marry, eventually bringing together hands-on operations and strategic business leadership.

2010
Commercial Property
The family purchases a commercial property in Hadley, expanding into additional small business ventures while continuing landscaping operations.
2014
Firewood Services

Mike begins focusing more heavily on firewood services, responding to growing local demand and laying the groundwork for the next phase of the business.

2016
Junk Removal

The Just Junk It clean-out service is introduced, expanding the range of services offered to customers.

2022
We're Moving!

Operations move to the current commercial property on M-24, creating a central location to support expanding services.

2024
Mikey's Firewood & Landscape Supply

Clean Cut Lawn & Landscaping transitions out of lawn service operations, allowing the business to focus on firewood, landscape supply, storage, and specialty services.

The operation evolves into Mikey’s Firewood & Landscape Supply, continuing the Just Junk It service and expanding the yard.

Fall 2025
A Bigger Vision
The vision for a curated outdoor living showroom takes shape. Vendor partnerships are secured and the brand evolves into Mikey’s of Metamora.
